    Hi valentinoyap,

We got your concern about the cursor in Excel, as it keeps on moving. Let’s work on this together and find out options that will help address this issue.

This may be an issue with the Excel app itself or could be file specific. To know more about this, we’d like to ask the following:

    1. Which build and version of Office are you using? Is it an Office/Microsoft 365 Family, Personal, or for Business subscription? You may click here for the steps on how to check it.
    2. Does the issue occur on a specific Excel spreadsheet only? How about on other Office apps, like in Word or PowerPoint?
    3. Is it not allowing to type or enter text in a cell while the cursor is jumping?
    4. Have you already tried checking on a new spreadsheet if the cursor is also moving continuously without controlling it? If you haven’t done this yet, you may try to do so. This would help us determine if the issue happens regardless of the file being opened in Excel.

While we wait for your answers, we’d recommend that you launch or open Excel in safe mode. This would determine if there’s an add that may be causing the issue. Please refer to this article and go through the section: How to start Office for Windows applications in Office Safe Mode for the actual steps. Once it’s already in the safe mode environment, you may proceed to check if the cursor will still keep on moving or if it will already allow you to type in a cell.

If the issue doesn’t occur while in safe mode, you may perform the following steps and see if that would resolve the concern:

    1. Open any of the Office app, click File > Option > Add-ins, then click Go in the Manage: COM Add-ins.

    1. Clear the checkbox if you'll see any add-ins, then disable them.
    2. Close the Excel app and relaunch it after.
    3. Check if you'll encounter the same behavior of the cursor.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.
