Hello Team,

What is the maximum number of response MS form can fetch out of one form. I am required to fetch 120,000+ responses out of one form.

If the max. limit is less than the required response, how can resetting the form response will help in removing duplicate records?

    Hi Seema,

    Thank you for posting your question in this community. From your description, you would like to use Microsoft Forms to collect huge number of responses.

    According to this article about Form, question, response, and character limits in Microsoft Forms, the maximum response in a single form for Microsoft Forms is up to 50,000 for both Office 365 Education and Microsoft 365 Apps for business. If you are using Microsoft Personal account, it would be lesser.

    For resetting the form response to help in removing duplicate records, I am afraid we can only remove all responses in a form by clicking “Delete all responses” at this moment.

    In this scenario, I think you can consider the workaround to getting 50,000 responses first and export all the responses data as an Excel workbook to store. Then you can clear all responses for the form to get another 50,000 responses.

     ==========================================================

    If you are planning to take the response within your organization, you can select “One response per person” option, so that form will only allow users to submit form for one time.

    However, there are two key points you may need to know:

    1: “One response per person” is only available when you set “Only people in my organization can respond” but not “Anyone with the link can respond”. This is because the response is anonymous without any personally identifiable information. Hence, Microsoft Forms cannot identify the people who submit the response, which it results Microsoft Forms will note be able to control whether the user is allowed to submit one response only or multiple response.

    2: Once you selected “One response per person”, the user is not allowed to edit the response after they submit the response.

    Best regards,

    Dihao
