Data types missing - Excel 365

Hi,

sometime during February Data Type section that allowed to get stock information in Excel has disappeared. I have the option to add it manually by customizing the Ribbon but then it just stays gray and doesn't let me choose anything.

From the spreadsheet I can see that stock information was updated for the last time with real-time information on February 8.

I have Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise subscription through my university and Excel version 16.0.13127.21210.

How can I get back the option of seeing/updating to real-time stock data on Excel?

Uninstalling and reinstalling Office did not help.

    Hi Raul,

Based on your information, you are using Semi-Annual channel of Office and your Stock Data Type in toolbar is greyed out.

Based on my test, we have the same behavior in the latest version of Semi-Annual channel (Version 2008 (Build 13127.21216)), we have searched in other threads that user are able to use Stock data type after updating Office from Semi-Annual Channel to Monthly Enterprise Channel or Current Channel. Please follow the steps in this article to update Office:  How to switch from Semi-Annual Channel to Monthly Channel for the Office 365 suite?

    Best Regards,

    Ivy

    Hi Ivy,

thanks to your help I was able to change it to Current channel and now Data Type is not greyed out anymore.

But it still doesn't give me the possibility of choosing anything from there. Clicking on it doesn't open any options to choose from.

Right now my Excel is Version 2101 (Build 13628.20448 Click-to-Run).

Excel for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.13628.20128).

Do you have any suggestions to get Stocks, Geography etc back to Data Types so I could get my real-time stock info back working on my spreadsheets?

You can the relevant information according to What linked data types are available in Excel? - Office Support (microsoft.com). For more information: When do I get the newest features for Microsoft 365? - Office Support.
