Split from this thread.

I'm having the same issue, but I'm in the All Items view.  I created my list from the "Work progress tracker" template.  I"m not sure if the templates may have some special setting preventing this.

So yesterday this was not working.  I had created a new list using the Work progress tracker template and did not change any of the settings anywhere.  Just used it as is, and there was no Edit in Grid View option.  Today, I created a new list using the same template, and it's there now.  If I go back and look at the list from yesterday, it's still missing, so it seems MS did change something with their templates.

    Hi Murphybp79,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community, I'm glad to offer help.

According to your description, please open the views list > switch to "All Items" view > click "Edit current view" > scroll down and make sure the "Style" is set to "Default".

If the issue persists even though the style is "Default", please try to create a new list to see if it will have the same problem, it would be helpful to determine whether it is related the specific list or the entire account.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Best Regards,

    Arck

    Hi Murphybp79,

Glad to hear that, it looks like there were some temporary changes on the server side that caused the "Edit in Grid View" to disappear.

Anyway, if you have any questions about Microsoft in the future, you are welcome to post in this community again, and we're always willing to try our best to help you : )

    Best Regards,

    Arck
