How to insert empty rows after every paragraph in Word 2019?

I have a lot of text written but there are no spaces between the paragraphs so it's a little hard to read.

It would take a very long time to add the rows manually.

How can I do it easier?

I tried using Find and Replace but it didn't do anything.

If Word 2019 can't do it, any other program will be fine since I just need it for that then it's back to Word.

Thank you for any advice.

You can remove blank paragraphs by replacing ^p^p with ^p.

Instead of inserting blank lines, do the following:

    • Right-click the Normal style in the Styles group of the home tab of the ribbon.
    • Select Modify... from the context menu.
    • Select Format > Paragraph...
    • If you want to increase the space between subsequent paragraphs, increase the Spacing > After amount. You can specify the amount in pt (points), cm (centimeters) or in (inches). For example: 0.25 in
    • If you want to increase the space between lines of the same paragraph, set Line spacing to for example 1.5 lines or to Double.
    • Click OK.
    • If you want to apply this to all new documents. click 'New documents based on this template'.
    • Click OK.

Hmm, this does add space between the paragraphs. The problem is that the 1st part of the text is already formatted with empty lines between paragraphs.
That is why I wanted to add empty lines here too. It's literally like hitting enter between paragraphs. If I add this 2nd part in the the same document then it will make the first part look strange.

Can I use Find and replace (or something else) to just remove all the empty lines from the 1st part?
Then both parts will be the same and I can join them and add the space like you already said.

Thanks, that worked very nicely. Replaced almost 5 thousand items.
