Hello,

I am getting the error message below whenever I use any of the PowerPivot options in the ribbon. I guess I messed up with the structure of the tables that are loaded to the model and now the PowerQuery is unable to recognize the actual tables. I use O365. I want to delete all the data models and start fresh. How do I do that? Can someone help?

    Hi Venkatesh Y Rao,

I go through the post carefully, as for remove corrupted data models in the workbook, I would suggest you check methods from the marked answer from the thread: "PowerPivot is unable to load the Data Model" in Excel 2016 and Windows 10

    • close the xlsx in question
    • open the xlsx with favorite zip tool (i used 7zip)
    • delete the "/xl/model" folder
    • open xlsx with Excel again and respond to prompts that Excel needs to make repairs to the file
    • and that was it

    Best Regards,

    Clark

    Hey Clark,

You have saved my day. This solution worked. The PowerPivot now functions normally and I was able to add new data models. Many thanks again. Long live Clark!!! :)
