Customizing the 'Other' option in Microsoft Forms

Hi,

Wondering if I am able to customize the 'Other' option in Microsoft Forms as part of a multiple choice question?

Currently I have a question about gender with the following options:

  • Female
  • Male
  • Prefer not to answer
  • Other [text field]

I'd like to change the option which says 'Other' to display 'Prefer to self-describe' before respondents type anything.

Thanks,

Jo

    Hi Jo E997,

I apologize for all the trouble it has caused and sorry about your time.

As per your description, “I'd like to change theoption which says 'Other' to display 'Prefer to self-describe’ based on my test regarding to “Other [text field]” of a multiple-choice question field in Microsoft form I'm afraid you cannot customize option. However, based on my test as a workaround you can addan "Other" optionin a choice question. This will add a text field in the question and enable responder to leave text message.

I appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Best Regards

    Waqas Muhammad

Hello! I am having a similar issue. The "add other option" doesn't show up for me when I created my form. The only button is "+ Add option."

Where did the "add other option" go? How can I get it to return?
