I have a column that calculates the difference between two dates. I need to edit the formula to add an IFERROR statement.  I cannot find anywhere to get back to my formula to edit it.  I have searched everywhere.  I can't even delete the column.  This seems like a BUG.   See below:

    Hi C_Eaton,

    Welcome to the Answers community.

From your post, we understand you can’t edit or delete the existing column in your SharePoint list. Usually, when we want to edit the column, we click Column Settings>Edit, as shown below, but from the screenshot you provided, it appears you do not have Edit option in Column Settings.

There’s another way that you try to check if this helps in deleting or editing your existing column.

    1. Go to the list in which you want to make this change.
    2. Click the Settings icon on the top-right and select List Settings.
    3. Under Columns section, click the column name.
    4. In the Edit column page, you can either edit the formula or scroll to the bottom and then select Delete.

***Note:***Lists and libraries contain required columns that can’t be deleted, such as the Title or Name. If the column can’t be deleted, the Delete button is not available. If you can’t delete a column, but you don’t want the column to appear in a view, you can hide it from the view.

If it doesn’t work, please provide the following information:

    1. May I know the permission you have on the list or the site?
    2. Do you see same behavior in any other custom column that your created? Please check another list or library to confirm.

Let us know the status. Have a nice day and stay safe😊

    Regards,

    Neha

Thank you. It would have taken me forever to find this but now I have. I had seriously given up.

This needs to be changed from a user design standpoint.
