Make items in SharePoint list view searchable

Hi

My SharePoint library has reached 5,000 view threshold, so I added another 2 views for my SharePoint list to manage the excessive threshold.

Now the threshold error is solved but I would like to make the search box be able to search for all the files allocated across the 3 views. Right now, I need to go on to the particular view where those files allocated and search.

Is there any method I can do to make the files across the list view searchable in one single search box? or is there any method to make all my files viewable in one single list despite the threshold that is over 5,000 items?

I have tried 'Search everything' box, but it did not give me what I was looking for. The search results are too broad and they only showed the file content that contain the key word I searched.

Thank you

Hi Tidarat,

Thans for posting in our community.

SharePoint Online have some different levels of search.

Such as :

  1. When we in Library, we will search files in this library.
  2. When we in Home page, we can search across sites. And as our test, we can search files in different lists here.

As your description, you do not want to get too more results. So you can set content in the search results.

For more information, refer to Enable content on a site to be searchable.

Hope this suggestion can help you, if you have any problems please come back and share with us.

Regards,

Jason
