Personal Vault - issues when trying to access using OneDrive app on Android smartphone

On my Android smartphone, opening the OneDrive app and selecting an -existing- Personal Vault, a code is sent to my backup email address. This is the method I also use on my Windows 10 desktop pc.

When pasting that code into the appropriate field and click on next I am getting a screen to "Create a Personal Vault", rather than unlocking the existing one.

On my desktop pc, after entering the code, the Personal Vault indeed is unlocked.

I tried this over and over: same results.

It is a major problem in case one urgently needs to access the the PV, whilst not being at home.

Any suggestions?

    Dear Mike_884,
I am Renzo, as an Independent Advisor and Office user, I'll help you with your question.
You could try with following process:

    1. Tap and hold OneDrive app > App info > in bottom tap "Clear data" > All data, then uninstall OneDrive App
    2. Restart your Android mobile > then open Play Store find latest OneDrive version and install it, next sign in with your Office personal account.

Then check out the Vault behavior.

Besides, In your default internet browser in your mobile, remove all cache and navigation history.

Any doubt, let me know and have a nice day.

    Thank you!

With me there is no 'Clear Data' within App Info. (v6.27)

There is an item 'Storage' though - showing Space Used by App, Data, Cache, and a clear data button at the bottom, which would result in:
"All of this application's data will be deleted permanently. This includes all files, settings, accounts, databases etc."

    I did that.

then removed the app, rebooted and re-installed it.

    Same problem.

    I end up here . . .

    Image

Within the OneDrive app on the smartphone (at the top the list of folders) this is shown

Does that have anything to do with it?

Right, I understand you, Apparently there is a bug in the OneDrive app build version.

Could you verify if your Samsung device has pending OS Android updates, if so, run it,

then uninstall the OneDrive app , restart the device, and check out in the Store has a newer version.

I just made a test and the Vault work fine in my Android, I have installed this version = 6.27.

To see the version at bottom-right tap on "Me" > Settings > About.
