Hello: I am running Office 365 under Windows11 and am using File Explorer to list a collection of video files. How can I export the Name, Size and Length properties for each file in the File Explorer list into one row fore each file into an Excel spreadsheet?

Thanks,

John

    HI John

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

In Excel open a new worksheet

On the Data Tab, click Get Data - From File - From folder

Select the folder that contains those video files and follow the steps, that should list all files and their properties and you can then discard the columns you do not need

    re: list files

DaveM121's post reminded me that if you have the Firefox browser,

you can drag a folder (from file explorer) to a Firefox tab and you get...

    (truncated)

The list generated in Firefox was copied and pasted into Excel.
Hyperlinks were removed, the font size adjusted and you are done.

Thank you guys. I don't have Firefox but the first solution worked as advertised. I appreciate your combined attention. John
