Hi There, I would like the option in Excel on Mac to be able to do a Power Query, in the form of "Get Data" -> "From File" -> "From PDF". I have this on my Windows Office 365, with a "standard apps for business" license, yet on my Mac, I do not have the GET FILE -> From File / PDF query available to me. I have Microsoft Office 365 Apps for Enterprise license on my Mac, however, I do not have the above options.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Excel | For business | MacOS

    Hi

PowerQuery allows input from these data sources. PDF is not one of the supported data types:

Click the little smiley face and choose the I Have a Suggestion option to submit your request for PDF support to Microsoft.

Meanwhile, you should be able to simply copy the data you have in your PDF and paste it into an Excel worksheet.

If the data is in a picture format, use the Insert tab and choose Data From Picture to convert the picture into actual data.

    Hi Prawnapple,

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you want to import data from PDF on Excel for Mac.

However, unlike Windows version, this feature in Mac Office version is not available now.

Given this situation, we recommend you feedback this requirement to Excel Team. You can open Excel and click the Character(Help improve Office?) icon on the upper-right corner, click Tell us what can be better and write this query. Microsoft is committed to continuously improving your experience with our products.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn
