    Hi webbrewers,

    Sorry for the mistake.

SPO legacy auditing is migrated to Unified Audit Log (UAL), not retired. This essentially means that all SPO legacy audit reports will now be powered through UAL and the legacy audit signals have been migrated to UAL.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Hi webbrewers,

    Thank you for the reply.

About this page, it tells users that Audit log in SharePoint is retired, Microsoft recommends users to go to the audit log in Security center to see the reports. For more details, users can refer to this article: Search the audit log in the Security & Compliance Center.

We know that you will regularly check the feature updates in SharePoint, and you can learn new features quickly. This page may be removed in the future, however, for some users who don't often check feature updates, the existence of this page can remind them of the news about the retirement of this feature and where to use the new feature.

And I found an official article about this feature: Configure audit data for a site collection (microsoft.com)

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

Hmm, it's poorly written then. It says audit log trimming and "choosing specific events to edit" are no longer supported. It's not at all clear what that means. If audit logs are only available to security admins in the compliance center, why doesn't it specify that?
