Sync Issues when Starting up with Microsoft 365 Family

Hi,

We're just starting up with Microsoft 365 Family plan and I'm having a problem. My family member (holder of the subscription) invited me to join the family and when I did, using my own Microsoft account login, it almost immediately downloaded his entire desktop to my desktop and when I try to change or delete it, it starts deleting the same files from his desktop.

I obviously don't want to see his desktop on my computer nor do I want to delete or change his files but don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated as to how to keep our files from apparently syncing except when we WANT to share files.

Thanks,

Davewit

    Hello, DaveWit

I am Igor and I will be glad to help you with this question :)

How are you sharing the subscription? Did you follow the instructions in the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/shar...?

Basedon your description looks like the One Drive account is being sync to your computer. Have you tried to disconnect from One Drive to check if the files will no longer appears?
