Hi,
Sorry for all the inconveniences it may have caused on your side.
Based on the description, it seems like the save feature failed to work properly on your side in PowerPoint for iPad. If so, kindly check following details to further troubleshoot the issue.
1.If you create a new document and save it to your OneDrive/iPad/Files App, will the AutoSave button be checked on automatically when you click the three-dot button on the right-top corner of the document?
2.As if a document is saved to OneDrive/iPad/Files App successfully, AutoSave feature is checked on automatically and the Save button will disappear. So kindly check if the issue file is saved to some place successfully. If the issue persists, click three-dot and save a copy of it to check the result.
3.If the issue persists for all files even a newly created one, go to Settings in iPad>Find PowerPoint in the left panel and click Reset PowerPoint. Then reopen PowerPoint to check the behavior.
If the issue persists, could you tell us the above test results and also some more details for a further troubleshooting?
1.If you are using Microsoft 365 Personal/Family or Business/Education subscription? We need to test using a similar account to confirm the issue is not related with the specific subscription.
2.If you create a file in PowerPoint Online, will you see it in iPad and open it in PowerPoint to edit? If so, check if the AutoSave button is checked on. This helps us to check if the issue is related with the local app or the PowerPoint service connected to your account.
Feel free to post back and I will be here to offer the further support if you need.
Best Regards,
Mia
