Word documents getting jumbled

Every so often, and it's getting more regular, almost daily I'll be working in Word and out of the blue every document I have open will suddenly just get all jumbled up - see attached screenshot. I have to close down all my documents and they're fine when I open them up again. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can prevent it?

I've seen a fair number of screen shots like this in the last month or so. I assume it's a bug in a recent update.

Put your screenshot on a Word page. Then choose File>Feedback>Send a Frown. Describe the problem, include a screen shot, and submit. The bug report will go to the Word programming team. They are unlikely to respond.

Thanks, I have 64-bit. Will have a look at that hardware graphics suggestion.

While they are unlikely to respond directly to your feedback, they will work on the problem and are likely to get it fixed.

My understanding is that this has been showing up in the 32-bit versions of Office. Are you using the 32-bit or the 64-bit installation?

It might help if you disable hardware graphics acceleration.

You can do that in the advanced options for Excel or PowerPoint. The option applies to all of Office but is not available in the Word options.
