Hello,
For the past two months, I've been seeing the following Event triggered on our Exchange server.
There is no impact, because the Service starts back up. However the client keeps receiving notifications from the alerting system, so it is a concern as to what is triggering this. I have been unable to determine the source.
Any suggestions on how to approach this matter would be welcome.
Here's the Event:

I did a lot of search about the Event error 7031, looks like most of the similar threads are related to Move Request or DAG. So, are you using DAG environment? And have you done any database-based operations before the problem occurred? In order to do further research about your issue, please try to check if there is any other helpful information related to your issue(other event errors or logs).

There is no DAG environment in place here, and there is a single Exchange server.
We did recently have to restore a mailbox. We had to mount a database temporarily. That has since been removed. But these Events coincide with that activity. I imagine there is some residue.
I've checked for any mailbox moves or exports. None exist. Those request were deleted when I first embarked on investigation of this issue.

Addition to the Event error 7031, are there any other related Event errors?
Have you ever checked the health status of your Exchange databases before? In some similar threads, I found that health status of database might cause similar issues as well. So, if you have not tried that, please try to check your Exchange Database Health and see if there is any useful information for further research.

Hi Jeff - the issue has not manifested any further. For now, I'll just archive this case and investigate further if the issue retuns.
