Go to the Footnotes section of the References tab of the ribbon and click on the dialog launcher, highlighted in yellow in the following screen shot, which will display the Footnote and Endnote dialog
make endnotes continuous
Can't figure out why the endnotes go 1-15 then start back at 1 in a document. How do I fix this

2022-01-30T02:12:28+00:00 Hello,
This forum is a user-to-user support forum. My name is Charles and I am a fellow user with decades of experience using Microsoft Word. I have written extensively on using Word and have authored help articles on the Microsoft site.
You need to address this where the numbering restarts. Go into the footnote/endnote dialog and make sure that it does not have numbering restart. This will be after a section break.
I hope this information helps.

2022-01-30T03:12:40+00:00 Thanks but I've checked whether there are section breaks and there don't seem to be any.
What do you mean: Go into the footnote/endnote dialog and make sure that it does not have numbering restart
