Hi
Thank you for your question in this community, I am willing to help you solve your problem, according to your description of the problem:
You should not choose to delete the files in the short cut that failed to sync at the beginning. You can directly click stop sync to solve your problem. Now you have deleted the files in yours, so an error occurred.
You can try to refer to the suggestions below:
Go to C:\users<user name>, check if the folder with unwanted SharePoint account exists, if so, delete it.
- Open Registry Editor and find the following place:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
3.Find registry with the unwanted folder name in Data column, delete the registry by right click on it.
Note: please first backup the registry before making any changes. You can right click on it > export to save the registry in another location.
WARNING*: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Edit at your own risk.*
3.Then check if that SharePoint account's sync folder will disappear from your computer and check if SharePoint sync client still tries to sign in to that account.
Best Regards
Ethan
