If you have a product key and an installation disc for an older (unsupported) version of Office, you can install that product on your new computer. There is no way to get older software from Microsoft, though (with the exception of versions you can download from your online account at https://account.microsoft.com/services).

WordPad is a simple text processor that comes with Windows. It can open, edit and save Word documents.

To start WordPad, select Start > Windows Accessories > WordPad

You can also use Word Online, which is free, but has fewer features in general than does Word 2003.

    It has more than WordPad.

There are also other (non-MicroSoft) programs available for free download.
