Multi-Select Drop Down List - Microsoft Word

Question

I am trying to add a multi-select drop down listbox to a Microsoft Word document to keep a table more compact. I keep finding articles on it, but I cannot understand the instructions Microsoft has here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/insert-a-multiple-selection-list-box-ee579158-e894-4c9b-bce8-6a579277b7ae

I don't know how to write code, but have been able to use very simple VBAs I've found for other purposes. Does anyone have any insight they can provide?

There is no way to add a multi-select drop-down control into the document itself and the only way in which it can be used is on a UserForm.

You can use Listbox from FM20 standard library

set conrolName.MultiSelect = 1 or 2 and conrolName.ListStyle = 1 to have CheckBoxes

Alternative solution is ListView from CC1 and Set as Raport with checkboxes to have live edit records.
