Hi

I turn on the fn (function) button to make the little light in the corner show. Yet the fn4 button doesn't apply in excel to make a cell absolute. I dont seem to get any fn-key to respond.

Kind regards

Jessica

    Hello Jessica,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and appreciate your time taken for sharing detailed information. I understand that F4 function in Excel doesn't apply. I could share with you some of my thoughts on this issue.

Some questions before proceeding. I want to ask what your version of Office looks like. Have you ever tried updating or reinstalling your Office? Are you using a MacOS computer or a Windows computer? Are you using a laptop keyboard?

If you are using a Windows system, you couldn’t select a cell and press F4 and have it change all references to absolute. And you need to have your marker placed inside the reference in the formula before it works when you hit the shortcut.

Feel free to post back if you need any further assistance.

    Best Regard,
