Cannot Get Visual Refresh for Microsoft Office

Some time ago, while I was still on Windows 10, a random pop-up appeared after opening Word and asked me if I wanted to apply the new visual refresh for Office (I was using MS Office 2019 Pro Plus). Uncomprehendingly I clicked that I wanted to remain with the old look and the pop-up has not appeared since. In the meantime I upgraded to Windows 11 and I still cannot seem to find a way to get the new appearance. I tried searching for the icon on the top right corner which you should click for the option of getting the new appearance to appear, but that icon simply is not there.

I am talking about this visual upgrade, https://insider.office.com/da-dk/blog/visual-update-in-office-for-windows-now-available-in-current-channel-preview (the pop-up above mentioned appeared on the stable version of Office 2019 Pro Plus for me).

I would be glad if somebody could tell me how I may get the new appearance, because after I reverted to the original appearance and that pop-up disappeared there seemed to have been no way at all of switching to the newer visuals.

Thank you very much in advance! I really hope I could get that new vision.

    Hi VictorG97:

Based on your description, we understand that you want to experience Visual refresh of Office apps for Windows.

According to my investigation, this feature is suitable for Beta update channels. Since the Office suite under this update channel is not stable, we do not recommend that you switch to this update channel:Visual refresh of Office apps for Windows&Changes to update channels for Microsoft 365 Apps - Deploy Office | Microsoft Docs

At the same time, since the version you are using is MS Office 2019 Pro Plus, which is different from MS 365, If you still want to change to the test update channel, please refer to this post: How do I Change the Office 2019 Professional Plus Update Channel? (microsoft.com)

    Hope this will help you.

    Tin
