I am the IT support for two domains.

My client cannot sign in on one domain.

    Hi Michael,

    The steps have to be performed by the admin. I though it was seeing that you mentioned managing the domain.

    However, you can also directly contact the phone support if there is no access to the admin center.

    Yes, thanks for that.

    He cannot login to Azure AD because he cannot access his MSFT account. (He just set up his Azure AD and there are no other admins.)

    Hi Michael,

    Greetings.

    Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

    Regarding this situation please follow these steps:

    • Login to azure AD admin center > Users > Per User MFA > select the user > Disable the MFA > Manage user settings > click on delete all existing app passwords > save.
    • The user needs to clear the cache in all browsers
    • After some time check if the user can login, if so do the next steps. If not please share the full screenshot of the error.
    • Reset MFA for the user Set up multifactor authentication for users - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs

    In short after you remove the users MFA, the user needs to remove all traces of the MFA even on the mobile to reset the process.
