I have two files on OneDrive which keep showing as a sync issue. I want to clear this however all of the options presented make me very nervous. These are very important shared documents which I really only view and don't make changes to. I want OneDrive to completely disregard any changes I have made and point at the online version. I don't want to merge any changes. Which option to I select to get OneDrive to "forget" the version mapped in Explorer on my PC?

Hi Matthew.

If you don’t want to merge the change you made with the original document, I will suggest you select “Keep both files”.

If this option is chosen, it will not merge the changes, instead, it will create a duplicate file and add the Computer/PC name to the end of the file name while the original files stays as it is.

After you select the option, you will see two copies, one that is shared (original) and the duplicate. Once this is done, you can go ahead and re-open the original file from OneDrive for business or SharePoint library where it is stored and continue viewing.

If you need any help or have doubt, please let me know. I will be happy to assist.

Regards,

Neha
