Pivot Table Fields list empty

I really hope that someone can help me here

Every time I create a Pivot Table, I can't see any fields to chose from in the Fields list

A colleague created one which worked perfectly on his laptop but when I open it on mine, the fields are not showing.

As you can see in the very basic example below where I used recommended Pivot Table, it created the table but I can't see any fields and so cannot change it

I tried to refresh the source, to use a source which was a table, to close and reopen Excel, to restart my laptop but nothing worked.

Is this a parameter unticked somewhere in my Excel??

Try opening the setting (Tools button) and choosing the first option:

Try the other options also so you see the difference.
