Hi,

I have an issue with the quick edit feature on sharepoint. I have contribute access given through a domain group.

I have checked if the feature is enabled, if it is set on the default and if tabular view is checked and all is in order in that aspect.

Few other co workers are also experiencing the same issue with the quick edit button being disabled. They are also added through a domain group.

Please assist asap

    Hi BluberryJ,

Thanks for posting in the community.

According to your description, please reconfirm the points mentioned in this article: How to Enable Quick Edit in SharePoint Online?

Disclaimer*: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.*

If the issue still exists, I would like to collect more information.

    1. Please check whether the “Edit in grid view” button exists.

    1. What if you or the site owner create a new list, is the button still missing?
    2. Since you mentioned few users have the same issue, I assume the button displays well on other users’ sides, may I know the differences between these users, like their permission or the list view when they access the list? To check the specific permission for one list, please go to the list> Settings> List Settings> Permission for this list> Check Permissions

    Regards,

    George

    Hi George,

Thank you for getting back to me, I have done the check and everything is in order

We are working in a document library and the button is there, but is greyed out.

All users that are experiencing this issue has contribute rights given through a domain group.

    Hi BluberryJ,

    Sorry for my late reply.

Since you have checked all settings and all users have the same issue, I would like to suggest you contact your admin/IT department and let them create a support ticket about this issue via Office 365 Admin Center > Support. That support team there will have the correct channel to help you investigate more and find what exactly reason has caused this issue.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Regards,

    George
