CTRL key zooming out

This has started a couple days ago, when i press the CTRL key it zooms out of the page. Even when i try and use the shortcuts to copy, paste, save, find etc.. it zooms me out. Its only on Microsoft apps. On excel when i scroll to the right, it scrolls back to the left.

What do I do? Is this an internal app issue, could it be my hardware?

    Hi GurdeepVirdi:

You are welcome to post in our forum.

In our testing, only holding down CTRL and the mouse wheel simultaneously zoomed out or zoomed in on the page, and not only in Office apps.

You mentioned that only Office apps have this problem. In this situation, you may try the following methods:

Method 1: Please update your Word to the latest version 16.59.

For your reference: Update history for Office for Mac

    Method 2:

Please try to remove cache files like below:

    1. Close Word and open Finder.
    2. Press Command + Shift + G, input “~/Library/Containers”, remove cache folder Microsoft Office Appliaction name to desktop.

(Please note: if you are using an elder version of macOS,  the cache folder named like com.microsoft.OneNote)

     3) Open Office application and check if it works correctly.

    Method 3:

Please start safe mode/boot on Mac OS, to check if the issue is caused by a cache or directory issue with the startup disk.

If your issue persists, may I confirm the build and version information of your Mac? (Apple menu > About this Mac) and the screenshot of the version inforamtion about your Office.

    Best Regards,

    Tin
