Error "There was an error executing the command"

Hi All,

I am getting this error within my database but only on two forms from the switchboard. Just need to give you more details incase its relevant or not.

So we had a power cut, which effected the pc. When the power returned someone wiped the pc (big mistake) so the pc had to be rebuilt but once this was completed and the database re-installed and it is at this point the database only partly works. Now this database is on numerous pc's and works perfectly fine, the BE is our U:Drive and each pc has a FE on their C:Drive. BUT on this particular pc two forms from the switch board will not open and gives this error.

So far I have re-installed a few times and followed the repair options, I have even opened straight from the U:Drive and it doesn't work! but if I do this on any other pc it will work!

Now our IT dept. are saying they they had to load an older version of Access (2010) and that this could be the issue but some of the other pc has the old version but do not have this problem.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate your help..

BR

Jo

Hi All I have done some more exploring with the database and in edit mode when you open the form / query from the All Access Objects I receive the error "Query to complex". But this query is working on all other pc's but to be fair is slow opening.

Does this extra info ring any bells for you all?

Hi Jo I will try to help.

Bu we need more info. You say you get the message when you select 2 items from the Switchboard that are suppossed to open forms. Can you you supply the switchboard codes being used? aksi what code runs when the forms are opened.

    Hi Scott,

Its not the Switchboard that has an issue as I have just tested the actual query (Two Queries are almost identical but have the same equations) and its the query that is coming up with an error "query to complex" so this prevents the form being opened hence the first error. But put this aside this exact same database works on any other pc regardless to versions? Its a mystery..
