I need to buy the Microsoft Office collection for school, but there's a 1 time buy offer($169). I use my main pc for heavy school work, but I have a laptop that I take to class with me for notes. Can I get it on both, or to I need to buy it twice to have it on both of my pc's. I log into the same account for both computers.

help?

Dear Megan3991,

Thanks for choosing Microsoft community!

I have read your question carefully and done some research, please kindly refer to following suggestions:

If you get the same subscription of an account, you should pay attention to this: every customer can use the subscription on up to 5 devices at the same time. I mean you only need to buy a subscription once for the same account.

In addition, if you want to separate the two computers with the same account, please refer to this: As you want to remove the Microsoft account from one of the two computers, I suggest to convert the Microsoft account to a local account on one of the computers. This will separate two computers from the same Microsoft account. Please refer this article Switch your Windows 10 device to a local account.

However, if you don’t want to convert the user account to a local account, then you need to use a different Microsoft email ID to separate two computers. To use a different Microsoft email account on one of the computer, you first need to convert the current account to a local account by following the same steps provided in the article above, then click on Sign-in with Microsoft account instead option from settings and enter the different Microsoft credentials that you wish to use.

Please also pay attention to this: Of course, if your account is used entirely on both devices by yourself, you don't have to take the above methods if you don't need it.

Hope this can help you, if there is any deviation in my understanding, please forgive me and provide me with more details, I am more than willing to continue to help you! I wish you all the best!

Best regards,

Kerry
