Conditional Formating not working on some computers but works on web browser.

I have a number for simple conditional formats on an excel spreadsheet that work perfectly fine on my computer. The issue is when I share it with someone else the conditional formating doesn't show on there computer when they open it on the desktop version. However when they open in the web browser they can see it. This has occured with at least 2 different computers, but with at least 3 it works perfectly. They the computers are running office 365, some are running home and some are on business versions but this doesn't seem to have any correlation. Could this been a setting in microsft excel that is turn off or set to not show?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Hi Jen,

They don't have other versions installed but that made me think and what it turns out is they have different display languages installed. On some machines they have spanish and English on others and siome both. The ones with both languages or english installed the formulas work. The issue with this I think is the formulas can be a bit different between languages for example a "," is a ";" in the spanish version.

My question now is does anyone know a way around this without installing all the machines with the English display language?

    Regards

    Stewart

    Hi StewartCusick!

I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

Do the other users have more than one version of Office installed? It might be because the file is being opened in earlier version.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'd be glad to assist you further.

    Best Regards!

    Jen :)
