Hello All,

I am suddenly having an issue on the SharePoint iOS application. I have a site set up with buttons. When I press the button once, it comes up with the URL to the directory/file however it does not open it. When I press it a second time, it does open.

This is is not happening on the Android app or the Web interface. Any insights?

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply as the weekend.

So from my test just now in SharePoint app on iOS, it seems like the same situation was reproduced. When I clicked the button on the homepage of a site, it only shows the URL of the button link and will open the link(go to the related folder as designed) when I click the button for a second time.

For such a can-be-reproduced issue, we may be really sorry to convey that this can be a potential bug, it is sincerely recommended to kindly submit your feedback to the related SharePoint product team so that the product engineers there can get informed and fix this as soon as possible. Go: SharePoint · Feedback Community (microsoft.com)

Really sorry that forum engineers here have limited resources for the building of features for the SharePoint app and we do appreciate your kind patience to wait for our test results. Hope a great day for you!!

    Best Regards,

    Mia

    Hi Erick Wibben,

I go through the post carefully, based on the description, it seems that you need to press button twice in SharePoint for iOS app to open URL for it, for testing and further troubleshooting, could you please share information below with us?

    1. It seems that the issue doesn’t happen on other Android app and in browser, it is possible that the issue related to SharePoint app on iOS, have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the app?
    2. Does the issue happen on SharePoint app in other iOS devices?
    3. For testing purpose, could you please share some details on how the button created in SharePoint?
    4. Have you changed any thing on the iOS device recently?

    Thanks for your patience.

    Regards,

    Clark

    1. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. The issue still persists
    2. I am unable to test this due to lack of another iPhone
    3. I made a button via the SharePoint web application that links directly to the Directory/File
    4. Only changes are iOS updates.
