    Hi Danny Egan ,

First, my pleasure to assist you.

Thanks for sharing updates with us and I really appreciate your effort and your precious time doing those tests.

The above is a slicers filters in a Excel template to filter tables, or PivotTables.

Regarding to, "How do I add additional filters at the top of the template or change what is appearing" in Excel template worksheet, you may click on Insert tab>then click on Slicer button it will show all filter Slicer. Select what you want to add additional slicer filter. See image below for your reference:

    Hi Danny Egan ,

First, my pleasure to assist you.

As per your description, please don’t worry we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

It seems you are Excel built-in template for “Equipment inventory” template.

I totally understand the using Excel inventory template there are most cells have constant comment popups that keep displaying when those cells are selected, and you want to remove or edit them.

I will help you to remove pop-up comments in Excel template.  First, I would like to explain these are not comments but these are Data Validation Messages.

Please follow my step below to meet your requirement.

1.Select the cell where pop up message is appearing >click on Data tab > Data Validation > The pop message is in the Input Message > Either you can remove messages via select the text/message and delete or just click on “clear all”.

See image below for your reference:

    Image

    To remove them in block:

    1. Select rows e.g. 1 to 7 > Data tab > Data Validation > Clear All
    2. Select rows e.g. 20 to 22 > Data tab > Data Validation > Clear All

I appreciate your understanding and stay safe!!

    Best regards

    Waqas Muhammad

    Hi,

Thank you for the advise, I've tried this and it works so thank you.

Could I expand the question but in regards to another part of the same template please.

The below filters are shown on the top of the document (I've changed the column headings from what was on the original template).

How do I add additional filters at the top of the template or change what is appearing i.e. instead of having Hosted have another column filter appear ?

    Thanks

    Danny
