Hello Excel Expert,

As required by my boss, I have to change text color whever the process is changed. This takes my times so i am thinking to save it.

I am trying to conditionally format the text color based on the oher cell value. I can only do 1 rule to make the text change color, but when i make the second rule, all the applied text become new color of second rule. Please see the attached picture.

Hope to receive your help.

Thanks and best regards

Wilson

    Dear Marks My Words,

I followed your instruction and YESSSS, Amazingly I got what I needed thanks to you. But I am sorry because I didn't make a complete question. My boss does not only want color changed but also font changed either. But the font area is greyed out. Painted to be Times news Roman, Machined to be Arial and Started to be Arial Black. Hope you can help me of this.

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

I suspect you are overriding the previous rule with a new one each time you do this.

If you select the drop down arrow on the Conditional Formatting button, whilst the cells are selected, the select manage rules.

You are able to create multiple rules for the selected range.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

    - Unfortunately, using Conditional Formatting, Font, Font Size + few other options are not allowed.

Following screenshot is from an Official Microsoft Office page. It clearly states Font cannot be changed.

    - Also, the same is also mentioned in the screenshot You shared in Your previous response. Please refer to the bottom half of the screenshot.

    - However, that may be doable using VBA.

In My opinion, You may inform Your Boss that Font could not be changed in Conditional Formatting.

If it is absolutely necessary, We could explore the VBA route.
