Remove - Click to add title - item from the default new slide

We usually share information (images etc.) via ppt presentations. When I start creating a new slide deck, the default slide always has "Click to add title" and "Click to add subtitle" objects.

I prefer an empty slide as default, but I couldn't find the option to change that permanently. I am using a mac, but I guess this is an issue in all PowerPoint versions. Is there a way to turn of these objects?

Thanks,

The placeholder text can be set o the slide layout for that slide. Choose View>Slide Master. Then select the placeholder text and type a space character. Then the slide placeholder will not display any visible text.

Simplest solution if you haven't already recognized it: When you create a new presentation just use Command+A then press delete.

Either do as Bob has suggested or immediately add a new slide based on the Blank layout, then delete the default title slide.
