The ctrl shift commands

I am not able to use the ctrl shift and letter commands to make excel financial models. When I do press the buttons together, all I get is a drop down arrow key on the cell. I have tried reinstalling the app and still doesn't work. I have also enabled the macros in the options and turned off other add ins.

PLEASE HELP.

    Hi Romanchak,

Thanks for posting in the community.

To better understand the situation, I would like to collect more information.

    1. For “use the ctrl shift and letter commands to make excel financial models”, do you mean to use a shortcut in an Excel template? Please describe more details about the situation.
    2. For “use the ctrl shift and letter commands”, may I know what letter you use? What do you want to happen when you use this shortcut?
    3. Your Office version

Click File> Account, please take a screenshot including Subscription Product and About Excel.

    Regards,

    George

    Hi Romanchak,

    Thanks for posting back.

The shortcuts you provided are not the default Excel shortcuts, they are the customized shortcuts for macros in a specific workbook. May I know where you get this workbook/template? Since there is also no default shortcut to create a drop-down list directly, I would like to suggest you contact the workbook provider to troubleshoot the customized shortcuts conflict issue.

    Regards, George

I am taking this online course and that requires me to use all these shortcuts.

When I redownloaded the material for the course, I am currently looking at this. The course requires me to disable hotkeys. Any advice?
