Microsoft 365 admin unknown

I am the Director of Technology at a small private school. Many of the teachers and staff (including myself) have used self-registration to sign up for a free Microsoft 365 account. Many teachers have forgotten their password but when they go to reset it, it says they can't because password reset isn't properly set up for your organization and to contact the administrator. The problem is, we have no idea who the administrator is. I have only been in this role for a year or two and I've asked everyone else on the administration team and no one knows who the administrator for our organization is to know who to contact to get this resolved. Please help!

Hi Alubbers,

Greetings.

I suggest you call Microsoft to help you : call Microsoft Support (Please contact the phone support team and ask them to help you perform an admin takeover. You must have control of your school domain, if you are not the school admin, please ask the school admin to call Microsoft).

Best Regards,

Linda
