Download the office 2016 files using internet in offline mode. Disconnect internet install office 2016 offline mode and activate your key

Easiest method is called Office deployment method.

I don't know the install process in depth, but at 2% I can't imagine it's doing much more than unpacking files. Obvious question, I'm assuming you have enough disk space? You may want to check (or stop) your anti-virus during the install? Rather than quick-fix guesses, which is all these are, you could try running Process Explorer (download from Process Explorer - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs ) and see which processes have which files open - this might show where/if you're system is having conflicts?

    Hi Monique_20,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Use this tool from Microsoft to remove all remnants of any previous Office Installation:

    https://aka.ms/SaRA-officeUninstallFromPC

Restart (not shut down) your PC

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ and re-install Office from there

I followed your steps and now the installation process is still stuck at 2% has been so for the past 45mins.
