I tried this when I first tried to troubleshoot the problem and it did not resolve the issue.
To fix the problem, I created a new folder and copied into it everything from the original folder - this did not copy over the corrupt page that I also found. I then deleted the original folder that had the corrupt page. When I synced this a notebook again on the desktop app, the original folder reappeared, so I had to delete it again. Each time I deleted it and synced my Notebook from the desktop app, the folder would reappear even though it was ‘permanently deleted’. So I deleted it from the web version of OneNote, did a manual sync from there, and it finally permanently deleted from the desktop app.
