Good Day,

If we have three options to select on the form. Let us say

Question 1

option A, ice cream

option B, Dog

option C, Cat

Question 2

What is your favorite dog food

option A, Dog_BD

option B, Dog_AM

option C, Dog_PN

Question 3

What is your favorite day

option A, North ice cream locations

option B, South ice cream locations

option C, West ice cream locations

Question 4

What is your favorite cat food

option A, Cat_BD

option B, Cat_AM

option C, Cat_PN

the branching in MS Forms works fine when you pick ANY ONE option. But if the user picks more than one option then how does the branching and control of the flow works ?

If I pick for question 1 , Icecream and Cat then how is branching performed in MS FORM for the user to answer question 3 and 4 with out viewing question 2 during the survey

Thanks

    Hi N_786,

Thank you for posting in this community.

According to my research and test, if you allow multiple answers for the question 1, the Branching will not allow you to choose the next question for each option. In this situation, it is only available to let you choose the next question for the entire Question 1.

    Like shown below:

E.g. whichever the user choose form the option for Question 1, it will only go to the only one question you selected.

Moreover, I am sorry that I don’t find any out of box ways in MS FORM for the user to answer question 3 and 4 without viewing question 2 during the survey

However, I understand your feelings. So, given this situation, it’s recommended to send feedback within Forms (open any Microsoft Forms form>click the three dots>Feedback).

How do I give feedback on Microsoft Office?

Since it is the quickest route to get your comments to the related programming developers’ ears. They read customer feedback daily.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

    Best Regards,

    May
