One Drive File Issues - Mac

I have a few OneDrive specific questions for Mac users - we are on MacOS Big Sur

  1. We are getting an Error - " Upload Failed - This file wasn't uploaded because the specific path wasn't found on the server or permission was denied". But the files saves in OneDrive still. This happens in Excel and Word

  1. Also getting an error that says "Upload Blocked - We couldn't verify you have the necessary permissions to upload the file" and gives the option to save a copy - but again the files upload and are fine. This is happening in Word

  1. We also have users who seem to keep getting logged out and they have to sign back into OneDrive every time - is there a setting to make this stop?

Thanks in advance!

Hi BridgetMcCabe,

I go through the post carefully, based on the  description, it seems that your get upload Failed/Blocked error in Office, however the files are uploaded to cloud normally. Usually Office will verify users’ account when uploading files to OneDrive/SharePoint and the issue may happen if user have many accounts signed in Office. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Clear Office license files with License removal tool, then sign in back to Office. This can help solve account conflict related issue. you may download the tool from the link: **** How to remove Office license files on a Mac - Office Support
  2. Reset OneDrive on the Macs and check the result. On how to reset, please check the link: Reset OneDrive - Office Support (microsoft.com)

Best Regards,

Clark

Thank you - this did the trick! It seemed like it was tied to users who had multiple accounts signed in. Appreciate your help!
