False "Access Error" when sharing SharePoint file links with Teammates via outlook

Since Tuesday (Aug 3), collogues who all have access to the same sites are complaining that when sharing a link, the the link turns red with the notification that recipient Doesn't have access to the file.
The recipient can open the link and no errors on their end (Since they do have access). This is confusing for the sender, and used to happen only when sharing with members outside the organization (but which still had access to the site).

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

    Hi Albert,

    Thanks for posting back.

Please use the private window of the browser to access Outlook for Web and test again. If the issue still exists, the issue is likely caused by the backend. I would like to suggest you create a support ticket about this issue via Office 365 Admin Center > Support. That support team there will have the correct channel to help you investigate more and find what exactly reason has caused this issue from the backend.

    Appreciate your understanding and patient.

    Regards,

    George

    Hi George,

Thanks for the reply. We tested sharing the link of a newly created document view Outlook desk and web apps and the same issue persist.

    Hi Albert,

Thanks for posting in the community.

According to your description, when a user posts a SharePoint file link in the email and the friendlier link name turns red and shows the recipient doesn't have access to the file. To troubleshoot the issue, I would like to collect some information.

    1. Please use Outlook for Web (access www.office.com and click the Outlook icon), try the same steps, and check whether you can reproduce the same issue.
    2. Does the issue exist in specific SharePoint files or also in a newly created SharePoint file?

If you have any updates, please feel free and come back to share with us.

    Regards,

    George
