OneNote sync up issue with Error Code: 0xE4010643

My desktop OneNote can't sync up one of my note book with issue "We need the password to sync this notebook. (Error code: 0xE4010643)", but actually I already log in my OneNote account and other notebook syncing well.

Hello Ruidi,

Sorry for the trouble caused at your end.

Per the description shared, I understand the problem but I would like to request you to back up the unsynced contents of the Notebook first because troubleshooting of the problem needs to close the Notebook and sign out from the OneNote application.

I would like to know whether you are using OneNote 2016 or OneNote for Windows 10 application? If you are using OneNote 2016, please follow the below steps:

a. Close all the Notebooks (make sure everything is synced and backup for the Notebook which can't be synced)> Sign out> Quit all Office apps.

b. Click Start> Enter Credential Manager> Windows Credentails> Remove the credentials related to Microsoft Office.

c. Restart your PC> Open OneNote app> Sign in with your account.

If you are using OneNote for Windows 10:

a. Close all the Notebooks (make sure everything is synced and backup for the Notebook which can't be synced)> Sign out> Close OneNote app.

b. Click Start> Apps & Features> Scroll to OneNote for Windows and click on it> Advanced Options> Reset.

c. Re-open the app> Sign in and check the result.
