Upload status bar

I'm stuck with a simple question -

When uploading and I hover over the OneDrive Cloud icon in the status bar, it shows (e.g.) uploading 5.1 GB of 5.8 GB at 120 KB/s 2 files remaining. I get that.

However, if I right click on the icon and open up the small pop-up updating window, it will say (e.g.) uploading 5.1 of 5.8 GB (454.1 MB)

Also, the parenthetical number doesn't seem to change as the size of the successfully uploaded file increases. In my case, it now says 5.8 of 5.8 GB (454.1 MB)

What is the meaning/significance of the number in the parentheses?

Thanks!

    Hi Peripatetics,

Thanks for your reply, after our test, there is no such display when we upload once. Have you interrupted the upload before and continued to upload the

remaining file sizes to be uploaded? If so, maybe it prompt the remaining size of the download. This should not affect your normal use. Have a nice day.

Thanks, Kevin - but you didn't really answer my question. Is that number supposed to be the remaining size of the download, or the size of an individual file. What is its purpose?

    :)

    Hi Peripatetics,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for sharing your concern with us today.

I understand that Upload status bar. I am glad to offer you help on this issue.

You could check to see if any of your individual files have a display size of 454.1MB. Refresh a few times and see if it still shows up. Maybe the system

    display is stuck.

I hope the information provided is useful for you. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support.
