Hi

I am after some advice, got a week off work and looking to finally sort out organising all househould stuff digitally.

I have scanned or downloaded instruction manuals and was thinking of building a database in One Note. I am toying between a table with links to the files saved in One Drive or wether to embed the dicument directly into the notebook.

Does anyone have any suggestions / advice?

or any other dvice on how to organise a family digitally.

    Embedded

    • blows up local cache storage consumption
    • slows down sync
    • no broken link (Elise)
    • data loss danger while concurrent access

    Linked

    • no use of local storage
    • no sync necessary
    • broken link (Elise)
    • concurrent access risk dependent on file type/associated program

Hi, I'm Elise, an Independent Advisor and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

It is really down to personal preference how you do this, but my advice would be to embed the documents directly in case any links to download them become broken or lost.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
