Onenote Deleting PDF inserts

Question

I use Onenote on my Ipad to handwrite notes, but then study off of my laptop. Today I opened Onenote on my laptop and it wouldn't download my notes, so I tried on my Ipad and it opened them. So I decided to sync my notebooks, but now my notes have disappeared on my iPad too! What do I do?! I am very stressed as I can no longer access any of my notes to study for finals and I am very much freaking out:(

As per your description, please don’t worry I help you to find your important OneNote note.

As you mentioned, “So I decided to sync my notebooks, but now my notes have disappeared on my iPad too” If your OneNote notebook notes sync successfully into online cloud location (OneDrive online) then you may go to open your OneDrive account online from your iPad browser or laptop browser and see if you are able to find your notebook there.

If you still not able to find, you may  try to restore OneDrive to a previous time, refer to this article: Restore OneDrive to a previous timeto check the outcomes.           

If you cannot find your notebook notes even in OneDrive online and If you are using Office 365 business or education subscription, please contact your admin as soon as possible to let the admin contact our Microsoft Support to request a restore because we retain backups of all content for 14 additional days beyond actual deletion.

In the meantime, for some reason, you still cannot recover your notebook notes, to avoid this situation and avoid data loss in the further, before closing the Notebook or signing out from the application if the Notebook is not synced completely, we request you to back up the un-synced changes manually to prevent the data loss.
