Microsoft Office Windows small

Question

Whenever I open up a Microsoft office window, the windows are very small. I know that you can change the size of them but the default size once opened is usually much bigger. Whenever I have tried to change the size of the window, once I close out of the window and reopen it, it goes back to its original size. Microsoft Word and Teams have the right default size, but Excel and Outlook do not. I've attached an image to show what I see every time I open one of those windows.

Can someone help me to change the default back to what it should be?

Per your description, when opening Excel and Outlook, it will open a small window.

Here are some suggestions, and I hope they can help you:

1. Make sure your Office client is up to date. If not, please update to the latest version.
2. Try to fix Office client, by performing a repair. Try a quick repair first, and if that doesn't work, try the online repair.

If the problem persists, could you please provide a screenshot of your Office Product Information(open an Office application>File>Account>capture a screenshot of the Product Information column)

I've been having the same problem. When I open Excel 2013 apps they are strange shapes. Word was like yours, Excel opens in a minimal bar that only shows the Max/Min/Close buttons.

I was able to "fix" Word by using Run As Admin to open it. Then I resized and closed. That worked. But, it did not work for Excel.
