We recently (today) bought a domain from Google Domains. No Gsuite or workspace, just the domain but we just decided to instead join Microsoft 365. So we want to migrate the domain from google to microsoft so everything can be managed in a single ecosystem. Is there a way to do this?

    Hello Carlos,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community Forum.

I understand you want to migrate a google domain to Microsoft. Please follow the steps below to add a new domain to Microsoft 365:

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, in the left nav, select Show all > Settings > Domains.
    3. Choose Add domain, enter your domain name then select Use this domain.
    4. Choose, Add a TXT record to the domains DNS records, select Continue, and copy the TXT value.
    5. Go back to the Google Admin Console, choose DomainsManage domainsView DetailsManage domainDNS, and then scroll down to Custom resource records.
    6. Open the record type drop-down, choose TXT, paste the TXT value you copied then select Add.

The update usually takes a fact within a few minutes but may take up to 48 hours.

    1. Return to the admin center, select Verify, and then Close.
    2. To set your domain as the primary email for your users, in the left nav, select Users > Active users.
    3. Choose a user, select Manage username and emailEdit, select your domain from the dropdown, then select Done and Save changes.
    4. Repeat this process for each user.

When you're finished, you'll be ready to install Office apps and migrate your email and calendar items to Microsoft 365.

You can also check the steps in this Microsoft article Connect your domain to Microsoft 365 for business.

I hope this information helps. If you have further questions on this matter feel free to ask I will be happy to continue working with you.

    Kind regards,

    Simbarashe
