It looks like you are installing on a MAC Office Home and student 2021 only work on a PC ?

Try these steps if you got the above error message ;Image

  1. First install the older version of Office Application , the link is given below :

Microsoft_Office_Installer.pkg

  1. After installing do the Auto Update > Wait for Auto Update/Check for Updates to finish.
  2. Open any Office Apps ( Word ,Excel or PPT )

4 ) Make sure to sign in with the credential with your MSA for Office Home & Student 2021 > Check for the App Version > It should show activated by Office Home & Student 2021.

    You downloaded the Windows Office installer. You have to use the Mac installer on a Mac

    At least one person reporting this error said they simply had to try installing a second time for it to work.
