Exporting hyperlinks to PDF from Word

In the last few days my office apps no longer export hyperlinks, such as TOC headings, to PDF during EXPORT. None of the chatter on the web helps. The workaround to download as PDF partially works, but doesn't support bookmarks, etc. EXPORT from the Word APP no longer works at all. Worked fine a few days ago. I'm using Microsoft® Word 2016 MSO (Version 2109 Build 16.0.14430.20154) 32-bit.

By the way, there's no selection for it below but it's for Home and Business, so I just selected Business.

    Hi Radar_ORCA,

As per your description, “office apps no longer export hyperlinks, such as TOC headings, to PDF during EXPORT” for better understanding I want to confirm, does it mean when you export Word document to PDF format the hyperlink not show in PDF file format or after export to PDF when you click on hyperlink it will not goes to browser and work anymore?

If you don’t mind, could you please upload a screenshot of our reference, so we can understand the exact situation and provide our suggestion in a productive manner, perhaps some related screenshots will be helpful.

In the meantime, to confirm whether this is a bug in a specific version, please provide us the version information. To check version: Open Word>File>Account>Product Information and capture a full screenshot and share here (Please mask your private message for protecting your private message) and we will be tested on that version and verify the result with you.

Meanwhile, it is convenient for you, could you please send your one of problematic Word file to me so that I can take a look from my side and help you to check the behavior?

If there is any private information, you can send it to me in Private Message.

I appreciate your understanding and stay safe!!

    Best Regards

    Waqas Muhammad

    Hi Waqas,

Thanks for your message. Can you describe the screenshot you'd like to see? I have a word document with a short table of contents and a corresponding PDF file. The only valid visual information is that, when you hover the mouse over a table of contents item, it is supposed to change to a finger indicating you can click that link to go to the corresponding heading in the document. Unfortunately a screen dump doesn't show the mouse pointer or finger so a screen shot would not be very interesting.

By the way, I also replied to your private message.

    Kind Regards,

    Radar
